About the Presenter:

James Wade is a retired university professor and administrator. He has a PhD from Iowa State University in Agricultural and Natural Resource Economics. His lifelong interest and extensive reading in the history and economics of the United States informs his teaching. He has taught courses at UNC Asheville Osher Lifelong Learning Institute's Senior College on North Carolina Colonial History, is a member of Old Buncombe County Genealogical Society, and an avid genealogist.
